F@TM has been a constant part of my site, ever since I published my original white/yellow-on-black pages at Demon Internet back in 1996.
With the exception of the section on cyclists, most of that material was written in the mid-90's, when most people were still putting up pictures of their kids, kitties and doggies on this new-fangled interweb thingie, and most people didn't rant about things because hey, this technology was so damn cool.
The Internet and the World Wide Web have moved on a lot since then, and most of my original material (especially the technology-related stuff) now looks very severely dated. It's time for some radical surgery to save the patient, and he won't be going home with all the limbs and organs he started with.
I've decided to go back to my original working title - Rants - because this section of the site isn't really that mad. I'm annoyed, I speak my mind, but I don't totally lose it. Apart from occasional use of strong language, my rants been pretty mild compared to some of the stuff being published elsewhere these days.
So, this section is being re-written to bring it into the 21st century. I hope you enjoy the new stuff, and won't miss the old stuff too much.
